Minutes

The meeting started at 14:00.

James is supervising senior honours project talks today, and so has to miss parts of the meeting. No one has seen James' "space pen", which he reckons he lost at the last meeting. Everyone is on high alert.

GAP 4.8.7 has been released. This includes the most recent release of Digraphs, version 0.7.1.

We have recently been/are currently working on:

  • Alex Levine -- adding libsemigroups Python bindings for bipartitions, and writing tests for transformations and partial perms.
  • Collin Bleak -- AAA package for GAP.
  • Fernando Flores Brito -- he has fixed his Semigroups package pull requests with Wilf's help, so that the Travis tests pass. He has an initial implementation of a function for the new AAA package, which calculates the inverse of a transducer. However it is not working properly. Fernando will work with Collin to resolve this.
  • Isabella Scott -- has finished her matchings implementation for Digraphs, and is at the start of the process of putting it into a pull request.
  • Chris Russell -- has been doing non-computational work. Chris is almost ready to make a pull request for his e-unitary inverse semigroups implementation.
  • James Mitchell -- has been changing the documentation system for libsemigroups.
  • Julius Jonušas -- has been grappling with git to fix a typo in his pull request for digraph closure. This has now been merged.
  • Luke Elliott -- adding libsemigroups Python bindings for fp semigroup elements.
  • Simon Tollman -- working on tests for gaplint.
  • Wilf Wilson -- fixing small bugs in Digraphs, helping others with their pull requests, and correcting typos in the Semigroups documentation.

People came and went at various times -- too hard to keep track of.

The meeting ended around 17:15.
