The meeting started at 14:00.
James wasn't here at the start, since he was at a PGRC meeting in town.
The 94th Workshop on General Algebra, in conjunction with the 5th Novi Sad Algebraic Conference will be held in Novi Sad this summer, 14-18 June. It might be of interest to those interested in algebra. Nik Ruškuc will be a plenary speaker
We all discussed what we've been working on and what we're doing this afternoon:
- Julius Jonusas -- Would be interested in getting back into GAP-related development; a few things unfinished from when he was working with us before, and will discuss with James what problems might be solved.
- Wilf Wilson -- Thinking about how to find generating sets for direct products of semigroups which are not monoids.
- Collin Bleak -- C++ project on libraries of graphs; working with Fernando and James on AAA package for GAP.
- Finn Smith -- Just found a bug in translational hulls code, fixing it now.
- Isabella Scott -- Matchings code - adding functionality.
- Luke Elliott -- Fixing pull request for Hamiltonian digraphs.
- Chris Russell -- Improving documentation for E-unitary inverse semigroups code, and making isomorphisms.
- Michael Torpey -- Integrating C++ congruences code into GAP.
- Fernando Flores Brito -- Refactoring AAA package with James and Collin.
Chris Jefferson arrived at around 15:00, and presented an issue with the Digraphs package: when bliss calculates a digraph's automorphism group it should learn the size of the group, but this is not stored and GAP may take a very long time to calculate it later. Digraphs should extract and set this information when it creates the group.
The meeting ended around 17:30.
