If you encounter a problem while using the TSE data reporting tool, you can report it to EFSA in two different ways: either directly in GitHub or via e-mail.

Reporting issues in GitHub

If the issue is a bug of the application (e.g. the application crashed) please report directly in GitHub where the Wiki manual and the source code of the tool are hosted. In this way, the developers of the application will be immediately notified of the problem and they will try to solve it as soon as possible.

It is possible to report issues in GitHub simply by clicking here. Please note that you need a GitHub account to report an issue. If you do not have a GitHub account, the previous link will open the signup page to first create your account.

A GitHub issue requires a title and a description of the problem. Please add the TSE data reporting tool version you are using and attach the log of the application (available since version 1.1.3). More precisely, you can find the logs folder in the app directory where you have installed the tool (e.g. C:/EFSA/EFSA-TSE-data-submission-tool-installer-win-64 or C:EFSA/EFSA-TSE-data-submission-tool-installer-win-32). Simply zip it and attach it to the issue. Note that it is also possible to attach screenshots.

When you have finished, press the button Submit new issue.

Reporting issues by e-mail

If instead, you experience issues which are not bugs of the application (e.g. you don’t find a specific value you need in a drop-down menu or you have issues with your DCF account), you can contact us via email to [email protected].

Several errors are already captured directly by the TSE data reporting tool, which will open your default e-mail client application (e.g. Outlook) for sending an e-mail to EFSA. The template of the e-mail already includes the application version and automatically attaches the related log. It is possible to edit the e-mail if you want.

For any other type of issue, click here and an automatic email to [email protected] will be created with some prefixed fields to provide information on the issue.
