I work on the Janet programming language and maintain the website, a small bit of infrastructure, and documentation for the the language. Some of the costs for the project are hosting costs and payment for services like Sourcehut, but by far the biggest cost for me is my time. I have spent many hundreds of hours over the last couple of years on Janet, I would like to keep working on it. My financial goal is really just to pay back the cost of hosting, domain names, certificates, etc, but with more money, I could buy more infrastructure for testing and services for Janet and continue to justify putting time into the project.
