I'm leaving the Nix options (e.g. ability to switch between clang and gcc builds, ability to run paired with any version of Lua, etc.) as an exercise for later. |
These are outdated and probably counter-productive. All specific distros mentioned have updated versions and package names and rather than try to keep these in sync I think just pointing people at the output of `./configure` is more useful at this point.
The default packages have been LuaJIT for some time, and the alternats do not exist. The caveats are no longer relevant.
