Used Cars EDA

Predict the Price(Dependent variable) from the used cars dataset, using other parameters(independednt variables). Subset it only for Ford. Perform EDA in order to find the correlation between the parameters, using which we can predict the Price of the car

Findings

• The median resale price of Ford vehicles is about $10,000
• Most vehicles on sale were made in the last decade
• Vehicles made between 2010-2013 are common
• Avergae price of newer models is lower as compared to old models
• As no. of miles on vehicles increase the price decreases
• The average price of vehicle with V8 engine is more than others
• White is the most common color avaibale for sale
• Median price of Purple colored vehicle is lower compared to others
• Most vehicles listed are in Excellent conditon
• Newer models have better resale value
• Gas vehicles are more commonly available
• Diesel vehicles have a better resale value
• Automatic vehicles are more common and have a better resale value
• More than 50% vehicles for sale are 4wd(4 wheel dirve) and have a better resale value

Insights

• Vehicles sold within 7-10 years of purchase have a better resale value
• A new / likely new V8 model has better resale value than an excellent V10/V12 model beacuse of miles per gallon and maintenance cost
• Diesel 4wd (4 wheel drive) has a better resale value than the electric model
• New diesel automatic transmission models have higher resale value than those with manual transmission
• Vintage manual transmission models with high no. of miles on odometer can fetch higher price than newer automatic models with low miles on odometer
• Uncommon color vehicles have a lower resale value
• A white color fwd(front wheel drive) automatic is one of the cheapest option avaiable on resale market
• Consumers are more likely to consider a 4wd(4 wheel drive) vehicle on their next purchase based on their\n previous experience of 4wd(4 wheel drive) usage
• Excellent condition models for resale indicate shift in consumer behaviour trend; consumers prefer to upgrade when \n newer models are released
