Ah, never mind, it did help. Switching from prerelease version to other versions now works. I'd need to manually update older versions for it to work in the other directions. I'll probably do this with 0.17.1 specifically, so we can switch from latest to prerelease and back. |

This does prevent us from upgrading to the new 1.6 version of MkDocs, but hopefully the bug will be fixed in the foreseeable future.
