isn't there something like framework.ExpectTrue(exists, "host port should exist")
? These are oneliners intentionally to not bloat the tests.

Hi @sttts, we currently do not have ExpectTrue
yet in our testing framework so I followed #105678 and used Failf
instead.

What this PR does / why we need it:
This PR improves the quality of tests in test/e2e/apimachinery by adding informative error messages to Boolean assertions. By adding these, developers are better informed when a test fails.
