Hello! Thanks for taking some time to start taking a look at this!
It's not totally clear/explicit on this bug, but one thing that the B button also does in the original game is that if you stick it, the dialogs advance automatically, so you don't need to keep pressing it. Of course that keep pressing should also work, but yeah, there's this extra feature too that this issue fix should also cover.
