Jenkins showroom

This repository is a sandbox to test new Jenkins concepts and plugins.

Sub-projects

• Configuration as code : AKA "Jenkins as code": manage your Jenkins from configuration to jobs only with code.
• Job DSL : Manage Job configuration with code and "configuration as code" plugin.
• CLI : Manage Jenkins in headless with Jenkins CLI.
• YAML pipelines : write pipelines in YAML.

Installation

At project root, launch the following command : make start

This will :

1. Download official Jenkins image set in Makefile (JENKINS_VERSION)
2. Add plugins you choose to install.
3. Launch container and map volume and ports.

How to

Login

• User : admin
• password : 1234

Add plugins

In Dockerfile, we use Cloudbee recommanded way to install plugin : install-plugins.sh

You can add plugin id you want after the plugins already given. Then, launch command make build to build image and get and output like this :

Upgrade Jenkins version

In Makefile, please change JENKINS_VERSION value to the desired.
