Clare-db is an open source initiative that wants to help researchers in need of computational aerodynamic data. We focus on the usage of open source CFD software(e.i Open Foam) to be able to generate this db.
At the moment, we have a couple of open fronts. Mostly dealing on how to be able to run simulations automatically, and where to store that data. Our main focus(currently) is to generate a sufficient sample of NACA airfoils 4 digits series of 2D simulations with different values of:
- Reynolds number
- Flow speed
- Angle of attack
- Geometry of the airfoil
You can see an example of a 4 digit naca simulation in a transonic regime right down
You can acces more information at the wiki of the repo.

If you have previous expertise in Open Foam/CFD and Python and you want to help, open an issue with the topic "Collaboration" with your name and details, and we'll try to reach you ASAP.
