I wrote a small script that enables you to do all the functions mentioned in the Development section of the README. Additionally, it enhanced the experience by opening the server and client as a background process and allows you to follow the log both by an additional command.
Feel free to play around with it and suggest changes you might like. If you would like this addition to the main repository, let me know and I can add some lines in the README & CHANGELOG to accompany this script.
