Breast Cancer Histopathological Image Classification

Histopathological examination: The study of the microscopic structure of cells and tissues of organisms. Pathologists examine the tissue under a microscope slide observing it at various levels of magnification to identify the morphological characteristics that indicate the presence of diseases, such as cancer.

Dataset --> Breast Cancer Histopathological Database (BreakHis)

  • Collected from 82 patients

  • Different magnifying factors (40X, 100X, 200X & 400X)

  • 2,480 benign and 5,429 malignant samples

Deep Neural Network --> Pre-trained MobileNet combined with a FC Layer. Model is end-to-end trainable.
