Customization and Sponsorship

We accept setup & customization requests or even requests to build similar (or different) software from the beginning. We are running our own development agency 💃, see https://upwork.com/ag/ever.

Our engineers are available ONLY on per hour bases ($15-$35 per hour, our R&D in Bulgaria, Europe, so costs are 💯 more than affordable).

We help to estimate tasks (RAW estimates of course), but always bill by the number of hours our engineers worked on your project, no fixed cost projects, sorry. For example, in order to do the basic setup of our Platform in AWS EC2, it usually takes ~3 hours and requires our Senior engineer with $35 per hour rate, so approx it will cost you $100. However, in some cases, it might take more time (e.g. if DB cluster should be installed on a separate server) or may take a bit less time (e.g. if you use something MongoDB Atlas and provide us with connection string) and so on. So we analyze your requirements and our engineer(s) working as much as you need their services on per hour bases.

Now, because the licensing is relevant for any changes/usage of open-source software, we should point out that our platform is dual licensed (AGPL v3 and Commercial license) and so for every customization request the main question would be: can you keep customization changes (source code changes) public and under the same AGPL v3 license we are using or not. For example, if it's fine for your business to make a public fork of repo and do required changes and keep it all public under AGPL v3, you most probably don't need to purchase a separate license from us and all good changes will contribute for our community. You can hire us (or someone else) to do all such changes at any moment. At the same time, for some businesses, it's better to keep changes private and they need to buy Commercial licenses to be able to do so.

Note: The above is not legal advice, just a point to research / decide on licensing for your specific business case because it's important.

You can find more details about licensing at https://github.com/ever-co/ever/wiki/Licensing. Let us know if you have any questions about that, we would be glad to help/provide more info about that topic. See Contact Us section https://github.com/ever-co/ever#contact-us

Regarding sponsorship, at the moment we do not accept it, but as we said above you can hire our company to do customization (and/or other) services and that way you will basically provide us with revenue to support future development of our open-source products.

Feel free to drop us an email to [email protected] and describe what customizations you need and we will give you more details about costs, timeline, etc. You can also invite our engineers to your project at Upwork (https://upwork.com/ag/ever), just make sure you set per hour project type.
