This analysis was performed to aid in determining Pewlett Hackard's retiring employees by title and how many employees are elligible to become mentors for new employees.
- First a table was created that listed employees of Pewlett Hackard elligible for retirement, however, this table required some tweaking due to the duplicate entries of certain employees, for example, rows 2-3 contain the same employee.
- A table containing employees that are elligible for retirement was created, as shown below.
- A table containing the count of employees alongside their current titles was created, as shown below.
- A table containing current retiring employees that are elligible mentor new employees was created, as shown below.

There are a total of 90,398 employees that are elligible for retirement.
- 29,414 Senior Engineer
- 28,254 Senior Staff
- 14,222 Engineer
- 12,243 Staff
- 4,502 Technique Leader
- 1,761 Assistant Engineer
- 2 Manager

A large portion of these retiring employees are Senior Engineers and Senior Staff Members.

There are 1,549 employees elligible to become mentors.
How many roles will need to be filled as the "silver tsunami" begins to make an impact?
- A total of 90,398 roles will need to be filled after the "silver tsunami." This will have a drastic effect on company productivity losing trained and experienced employees.
Are there enough qualified, retirement-ready employees in the departments to mentor the next generation of Pewlett Hackard employees?
- There are not enough retirement-ready employees at Pewlett Hackard able to mentor over 90,000 new employees. However, utilization of mentorships will be beneficial to Pewlett Hackard to help ensure quality training of new employees.
