A potential query language library for the NPS Natural Sounds & Night Skies Division to facilitate loading data that are relevant to specific planning, research or compliance questions. Intended to be used with soundDB or an equivalent parsing tool.
The NSNSD Acoustic Metadata Database includes coordinates for each site location sampled. On a per-deployment basis, it may also include:
- deployment date
- retrieval date
- purpose
- elevation
- primary use of sampling area
- lead agency
- audio recorder type (and S/N)
- microphone type (and S/N)
- preamplifier type (and S/N)
- sound level meter type (and S/N)
