APK Installer Script

A Windows batch script for installing Android APK files on a connected device using adb and aapt.

Description

This script automates the process of installing APKs on an Android device. It's useful for developers who need to install multiple APKs frequently and for those who require frequent backups restoration. The script uses adb and aapt from the Android SDK to install APKs that aren't already on the device.

Prerequisites

  • Android Debug Bridge (adb)
  • Android Asset Packaging Tool (aapt)

Download both from the Android developer website.

Usage

  1. Connect your Android device to your computer.
  2. Enable USB debugging on your device.
  3. Copy the install.bat script to the directory containing the APK files you want to install.
  4. Double click the install.bat file.
  5. Follow the instruction

OR

  1. Open a command prompt and navigate to the directory containing the APK files and the install.bat script.
  2. Run the script with the following command:
install.bat
#When prompted, enter the full path to the directory that contains aapt.exe.
