package-requires.el
is a package for Emacs Lisp package developers
which summarises dependencies (which are defined in Package-Requires
header) of elisp files in a directory.
You can browse the result in a buffer or insert it into a file through snippets.
Now you can create an Emacs Lisp package with a test suite even faster.
It is recommended that you define snippets for quickly creating a new Emacs Lisp package. The following functions will be helpful:
package-requires-emacs-version
returns the required Emacs version.package-requires-format-required-packages
returns the required packages separated by whitespace. This is useful for generating a configuration file for aMakefile
-based testing suite such as emake and makel.package-requires-travis-matrix
returns a YAML configuration code to be used in.travis.yml
for Travis CI. It contains a list ofEMACS_VERSION
strings with Emacs versions greater than or equal to the specified version.
These functions uses the most recent dependency information if you have already run one of the interactive commands in this package (i.e. package-requires-show-dir-deps
or package-requires-show-file-deps
) in the Emacs session.
package-requires-show-dir-deps
command displays the dependencies of all Emacs Lisp files in the default directory.package-requires-show-file-deps
command displays the dependencies of a particular Emacs Lisp file in the default directory. If you setpackage-requires-file-selector
to =’helm=, you can use helm to select multiple files.package-requires-redisplay
command redisplays the most recent result.
