Theme

The topic is 'The Car In The City'. I want to know why and how Park and Ride parking areas have an advantage on parking in the city. Using data from where these areas are

Research question

How are Park and Ride locations in North-Holland evolved over the years?

Sub questions

  1. In which regions has the growth of P+R areas increased significantly?
  2. Where are the largest P+R areas?
  3. Which parking manager built the most and least P+R areas?
  4. Where are the most P+R areas?
  5. Which areas are the most visited?

Variables:

Dataset: Open Data Parkeren: GEBRUIKSDOEL
AreaManagerId: Identification code of the area manager or parking operator - Integer
UsageId: Identification code of the purpose of use that applies to a parking area or facility - String
StartDateUsageId: Date from when a purpose of use is used - Integer

Dataset: GEO PenR
AreaManagerId: Identification code of the area manager or parking operator - Integer
AreaId: Identification code of a parking area or facility - String
Location: The coordinates of a P+R - Location(latitude, longitude)
StartDataUsageArea: Date from when a purpose of use is used - Integer (yyyymmdd)
UsageId: Identification code of the purpose of use that applies to a parking area or facility - String

Assumptions:

I think there will be a fair amount of Park and Ride places in North-Holland. There will be one year where there are a lot of Park and Ride areas have been added. The question about what is the capacity of each P+R in North-Holland, will get smaller.
