Releases: EtchDroid/EtchDroid
v1.9 rc1 (pre-release)
Major rewrite of EtchDroid!
• New Material You UI, much more intuitive and easier to use!
• EtchDroid will now recover from most write failures and ask you to unplug and reconnect your USB drive
• After writing the image, it will also be verified to ensure it didn't get corrupted
• The DMG functionality has been removed; use an older version if you still need it
Please test the app and report any issues! If you're a graphics designer I'd really appreciate suggestions on how to improve the app design.

It is otherwise pretty much the same as the previous release
Version 1.5
- Updates and bug fixes to libaums will bring improved reliability with "picky" USB drives and Android devices
- Translation updates
Version 1.4
- EtchDroid now uses libusb under the hood. This should bring much improved stability
- Night mode toggle disabled on Pie or newer as it would cause issues to many people. Please let me know if you want it back.

Changelog
- Dark theme
- You can now open image files from a file manager (DMG files may fail to open at times, please report any issues)
- Workaround for Android 9 issue
- A dialog is shown warning the user that they might need to reboot their device if the write fails
- After reading the USB drive size, the block device is closed. This might fix the issue, YMMV. Report any issues.
