Ifind Wiki

• Ifind is a very simple tool, that acheives a very similar result to grep -Fr but with to main advantages;

  • You can specify the directory to scan
  • The output is more lightweight. By default it display only a list of files where your search is present (of course, no duplicates will be displayed if a files match with more than one lines).

• Anyway, you can add info to the output, like line numbers and line contents, see Usage for more details.

• Since the tool is very simple, using it should be simple too, but if you need more info about options, this wiki provides an Usage page
