What Is CasparCG Client?

CasparCG Client is an open source project that is part of the overall CasparCG open source project. It's a client software developed for Windows/Mac/Linux. CasparCG Client is primarily used with the CasparCG Server software for audio and video playout, and to control graphics and recording, but it can also be used for other tasks within television broadcast.

What Is CasparCG Client For?

CasparCG Client is used to create rundown schemes for broadcast productions. Used together with the CasparCG Server as intended, it provides a seamless and smooth way to play out audio, video and dynamic graphics.

CasparCG Client can also be used to control ATEM Live Production Switchers and some TriCasters, without any requirements to use the CasparCG Server.

What license is the software distributed under?

CasparCG Client is distributed under the GNU General Public License GPLv3 or higher, see LICENSE for details.

Where can I get pre-built packages?

Pre-built packages are currently posted on the releases page of CasparCG Server's github page, click here to go directly there. At time of writing the last release was posted along with the v2.3.0 server release. Please see this issue if you are using OSC.
