This is a shell script which enables the user to automatically install heasoft in an ubuntu or any debian based operating system.
The instructions to install are as follows:

Download the latest release of
install-heasoft.sh -
Make the script executable using
chmod u+x install-heasoft.sh -
Run it. Note: You will be asked for your super user password
./install-heasoft.sh
