[Bug]: climate modes doesn't always change #235

LocalTuya Version

latest master branch

Home Assistant Version

2024.5.3

Environment

  • Does the device work using the Home Assistant Tuya Cloud component?
  • Is this device connected to another local integration, including Home Assistant and any other tools?
  • The devices are within the same HA subnet, and they get discovered automatically when I add them

What happened?

A bug happened!

Steps to reproduce.

go from cool to fan most of the time doesn't work.

While the debug is enabled for the device do the same process "COOL -> FAN and FAN -> COOL" Where the issue shows up but not from Home Assistant do it from Smart Life then copy the logs and post it here as well.

attached is the log. went from fan->cool then cool->fan then fan->cool in the smart life app

I can't be sure if this is just a device odd behavior or not however I made a little change hopefully it fixes it.
"Ensure that localtuya updated correctly, and if the issue still happens post the logs with new changes."

I'll give a try when I get off work this afternoon. I have 2 of these devices and they both do the same behavior. It only the mode changing that has issues. Changing fan speed and turning on or off they work fan. Anyway I'll give it a try and let you know. Thank you.

@xZetsubou so it seems the mode changes are working great now. Thank you. But now the device will not turn off in HA.

tried turning it off 3 times. here is the log. changing modes has worked without issue since your latest fix though.
