Unable to stop Kap clip (no stop button in menubar) or Kap fails to open entirely #1180

**macOS version: 13.3.1 (a) | Apple M1 Max **
Kap version: ?? (can't open application)

Steps to reproduce

Try to open Kap. If it opens, try to record a small clip.

Current behaviour

Kap no longer opens. When it opened previously there was no way to stop a recording as the "stop" icon wouldn't appear in the menu bar. Now that I've reinstalled it won't open at all.

Expected behaviour

Kap opens and records clips.

Workaround

None

Same with me, can't find a button to stop recording after it "started". Not even sure it records at all.
Started to happen after last Mac update to 13.4.1(c) but maybe even before I am not sure when.

As a workaround you may can toggle (start & stop) the user interface by enabling and assigning a keyboard shortcut:
