We have not set a default password. |
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
No joy, changed default user from Cmd line and now I am that user but need
root to change password using passed in the Centos box. Quite odd!

Use passwd command to set the password.

hmm... Certainly some people may think so. |
The problem was I reset the default user before logging in as root
Thus I no longer had access to root and had no password reset
capability for the new account.
Removed install, re-installed, logged as root THEN setup the account. That
works much better !!
Now the other issue is Postrgresql installation, total fail. I was later
able to work past my issues on an Ubuntu VM and will circle back to your
Centos Image now I know what unnatural acts are required (which I
documented).
So I'm willing to do a bit of work to help others...

Personally, I didn't think the password initial setting was necessary.
Because, For example, the Docker image does not have a password.

Installed onto W10 WSL2
Used example commands to create b2a user
b2a can't change their own username only root can, which leads to, what's root's password?
Sorry - I own being a Newbie but I'm probably NOT the only one!
Thank you
