I also encounter the same issue.

I tried to re-install the extension, removed all the temp files from my Browser and changed the API key but I'm still getting this error message.

My environment:

  • Windows 11
  • Firefox Version 111.0.1 (64-bit)

To use API-key, you need to register your card information in the payment menu of chatGPT plus. Probably, it is not enough just to subscribe to chatGPT plus.

By the way, I solved the API error by registering a payment method.

The problem is still there. @wong2

I also encountered this issue when trying to setup CodeGPT in VS Code. So this error may not be related to this extension.

Do you encounter this issue on other products using OpenAi API ?
