We have significantly updated our online guide dedicated to werf! Now, we are happy to introduce its initial chapter called "First steps" 🎉 Here, a simplistic app is used to demonstrate how and why you can benefit from using werf if you are a developer. You might even have zero prior experience with Kubernetes, then you will learn K8s basics from this guide as well!
In a nutshell, you will get:
✔️ step-by-step instructions to build app's Docker image and deploy it to Kubernetes via werf;
✔️ a knowledge about basic Kubernetes resources and examples of interacting with an app deployed in K8s;
✔️ an understanding of main werf features with regard to its v1.2 release and Giterminism approach.
This online guide is available in two languages: English and Russian. It is maintained via werf-guides repo and all contributions are welcome. We also MUCH APPRECIATE any feedback on this guide to make it better 🙏 The best way to provide is using our Telegram chats (English / Russian) or via issues in the relevant repo.
P.S. We are also currently working on the next chapters of this guide to cover real-life apps and some other issues — please check the table of contents of the guide to learn more.
