Feature Request: Create saved global profiles that can be switched via hotkey #2625
Comments
Yes, I am planning to add such presets. This request might overlap some other issues, but will sort it out when I get to implement these features. It's on my to-do list. |
Thank you waydabbler for the program and the insight on future direction. My use case for saved presets s switching between different application sets / work flows. For example, video editing / movie watching I want certain image adjustments to get better gamma response, but need to remove the adjustments for graphics design work. The global profiles/presets would solve this request. |
Yes, this is in the pipeline. Since global presets need to work with multiple displays, finishing all display group related features (primarily the upcoming layout related features) is required for this - this is what I am working in the current v2.3.x release cycle. Presets are something I absolutely want to do want to extend them to cover all (useful) settings in the app. |
I would love to be able to set a global profile that saves all of the settings that I can then recall later using a hotkey.
My use case is as follows:
I have 2 laptops that share the same monitor as part of a larger set of monitors that are not shared. I activate the display on whichever mac I wish to use it for, and deactivate it on the one that I no longer need it. I also, depending on what I am using it for (such as a game or work), switch the resolution of the display.
It would be great if I can setup some global profiles that will save the current state of all the displays and settings, then, using the menu or a hotkey, restore those settings and apply them.
