I would like to see more detailed customisation options for the date & time sections of the prompt.
For example, it could be broken down to subsections, such as Day of the week, Day of the month, Month, Year, & Separator. Further, Day of the week will allow for a certain set of formats, such as Full (a full representation of the day, e.g. Tuesday) & Short (a three letter version, e.g., Tue). Or Month will allow for a certain set of formats, such as Full (a full representation of the day, e.g. January) or Short (a three letter version, e.g., Jan). Separator could allow for a custom character, such as / or -.
Putting it all together, if I use Day of the monthSeparator(-)Month(Full)Separator(-)Year(Short) then the prompt section will look something like 03-May-24.
This concept could also be extended to the time prompt section to allow for more customisation.
This flexibility will allow users to create custom prompts that will better suit their workflow needs.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, the date part of the prompt uses the format Fri May 03 2024 with no way of customising it. As an Australian, using the format of MM/DD/YYYY is unintuitive. Also, it's easier for me to read dates that use a simpler format with only numbers, such as 03/05/2024, when scrolling through previous command blocks.
