Is there existing discussion on this feature? Is it already accessible somehow?

As nobody from Apple is on the group, and this new capability seems to be something that was developed purely by them (not even sure there are other hardware stylus implementations that have this sort of sensing), no, it hasn't been discussed as a feature.
