File not found

When i try to run the compiler i get an error like this:

cannot compile C:\Workfiles\programinglanguages\Vlang\v\cmd\tools\vrepl.v:

tcc: error: file 'C:\Users\ÄGARE\AppData\Local\Temp\v_0\vrepl.16176756970350222804.tmp.c' not found
...

ive had a similar problem before but that was solved by changing the location of the vmodules folder.
How do i make V look for this folder somwhere else, is there some environment variable i need to change?

Yes, tcc has known problems with non-ASCII characters in a path.

Set VMODULES to a non-ASCII path where you want modules to be stored.

Thats what ive already done. My VMODULES path is C:\Workfiles\programinglanguages\Vlang\.vmodules.
The probelem is that the compiler is looking for C:\Users\ÄGARE\AppData\Local\Temp\v_0\vrepl.16176756970350222804.tmp.c
witch is stored in a path containing non ascii charachters. Im just going into the commandline and typing in v so i dont think it is a module.

You may need to go into your V dir and type make to get V rebuilt from scratch, now that VMODULES is set.

When i type make i get the same probelem but with a different file:

Ah, I see now... the problem is that your TEMP dir has non-ASCII characters in it, too. :-(

There are only 2 options to get tcc to work... change the TEMP env var to point to a fully ASCII path, or change your user id. :-\

The last alternative is to not use tcc at all. Set the env var VFLAGS="-cc gcc" and always use gcc instead of tcc.
