Please include examples of bytes formatting, and mention which versions of Python this works in.

Hm... I'm not sure if byteformatting is really on-topic for pyformat.info as the site states repeatedly that it focused on "string-formatting". @ulope ?

Well broadly speaking bytes can be a kind of string ;)

I agree however that in the current structure of the page we don't have a really good place to put something like bytes formatting.

@zerok Lets talk at WriteTheDocs about it :)

Well, the name of the web site is pyformat , so documenting any type of formatting, including bytes formatting, seems like a fair thing to do. There are enough differences between different versions of Python 3, and Python 2 vs. Python 3 with respect to bytes formatting, that it is worth documenting in one place.
