Musicpod does find: IRobot and Best of Alan Parsons Project Vol 1 & Vol 2. But that's it. |
Hi, what file extension do they have? |
They are all mp3. I have discovered that if I go to albums, I can find all
the albums individually if I scroll to the album title, but albums aren't
listed under artist name. Clementine and RhythmBox find them with no
problem and lists them under the artist's name by album.

They are all tagged. Here's an example of one cut from one of the folders:

Ahhhh yes
This app needs correct tagging, then everything should be fine. Where they
are in the root folder you selected doesn't matter. It's designed to have
tagged music

@Jerrysvoice somehow, I think by quoting me, your screenshots do not show up here on github :) Sorry! I fear you need to upload it once more |
Wierd, I also attach the files to these replies. Basically all the albums
show up individually, and tags are all there. However, when the app groups
them by artist, can only find three. Also, there seems to be a very lengthy
reindexing going on every time the app is launched which takes several
minutes. I have a very large library of music.

So to summarize, when you click on the "albums" filter pill, the albums
show up?

It could be that you didn't tag your audio files correctly. |
I have 17,979 songs in my library, some full albums, some individual songs.
All full albums are tagged properly. Some individual songs may not be
tagged as being from an album because they were individual singles
(digitized from 45 rpm discs).

As an example, I have a folder: Alan Parsons Project and sub folders of that with all the albums and CD's as individual folders. Musicpod is not finding any of the folders and files within. Any idea what causes this?
