every now and then people say the docs are bad

i think they're right

but i don't know how/where to improve stuff.

i am thinking adding a little thumbs up / down button to the help page for each command that just incremented a counter somewhere on the buildbot would be a good idea. then we would get a better idea about what people think is good documentation (to replicate) and what is bad documentation (to improve)
