The blue bubble takes you to the github repo. There is no option to click 'Mark complete' when the user completes the task.

I was able to reproduce this in the production app, it is indeed unclear what to do as a user.

Also, as a user of Upcase, I can attest there are atleast a few Trails that have exercises like this that cannot be marked as complete, leaving them permanently in the "Your Trails" section. Here is another with multiple steps that I could not mark as completed:

A couple possible solutions:

  1. Include a page representing the exercise step, which looks similar to video step pages, with a brief explanation of what to do, and a link to the Github repo for the exercise. Include a "Mark as Complete" button on this page, just like there is for videos.

  2. Automatically mark the step as complete when they click on the bubble.

  3. Give a way to mark an entire trail as complete

I am happy to take a stab at this, I just wanted to get thoughts on which direction we want to go before I dove in.
