PowerPoint hangs when presenting

I tried to create a simple test slideshow with an ArsNova.click quiz. However, when I start the presentation, the first page (green title page) is shown, and from this point, PowerPoint is stuck in presentation mode on that slide, nothing happens, and I can't navigate nor leave presentation mode. I need to kill the PowerPoint process and open it again.

When during presentation I try to go to the given URL from another machine, a message is shown that this quiz has ended.

I am using Windows 10 and PowerPoint 2016.
