Environment

  • TeXstudio: 4.7.1 (git 0.0.0++)
  • Qt: 5.15.10, compiled with Qt 5.15.10 R
  • OS: Ubuntu Linux 23.10
  • TeX distribution:

Expected behavior

The cursor size is the same size as the rest of the OS

Actual behavior

The cursor size is about twice as big

This is what my OS cursor looks like:

I think this might be a Qt problem but I don't know where to report this bug.

How to reproduce

In Ubuntu, set the display scaling to 200% (default for high-density screens). I'm currently on a 2880x1800 screen.

Interestingly, when Texstudio is initially open on a normal 1920x1080 screen, the cursor looks normal:

But if I drag the window over from the low-density screen, to the high-density screen, and back, the giant cursor reappears and can't be made small again (without relaunching Texstudio).

looks rather like a qt issue. not visible here on linux (lxqt), win or mac.
I would take that as a very low priority.
