How to configure a tsconfig file for a Lit component?

I created a new component in Lit but I'm getting the criticism below:

"Experimental decorator support is a feature that is subject to change in a future release. Set the 'experimentalDecorators' option in your 'tsconfig' or 'jsconfig' to remove this warning."

How can I resolve this criticism if the project doesn't generate a tsconfig. I tried to generate a tsconfig file with the command npx -p typescript tsc --init in the project root but it stopped working.
