What is the current behavior?

Embedding knockoutjs in an application does not allow it to be compiled with node 21. Since KnockoutJS is essentially a dead project a plan should be made / announced on the future of knockoutjs within the surveyJS ecosystem.

What is the expected behavior?

I know there is some ESM stuff on the roadmap for SJS, a move to https://github.com/justlep/knockout-esnext could possibly be a solution.
Of course moving away from knockout fully is also an option but that might require more effort.

I realize that things like this require a lot of effort; therefore what I'm asking for mainly is communication. If you decide to drop knockout, will there be another alternative for users that is not vue / angular? This is a potential project riks for us.
