surrealdb as file based database ?

is there a way to run surrealdb like we can do with sqlite,
having a file (or folder) and directly interact with this without using a server with only library function calls ?

i try to know if this is possible, the docs :

suggest that we can run this as a server but d'ont explain how

after more search on other discussion, it look like there is an embeded way ?

and does this work offline or without any networks (the way i want) ?
