I got this wierd symbol before ➜ character.

What is this symbol before the ➜ character?

@zer09 It's the jobs module character, which is a module that shows the current number of background jobs running.

Thanks @jletey I tried the command and this is the result.

Is that intentional or that's a bug? It's reporting I have two jobs running even I only run only one background job. And the OS is just freshly installed and the jobs symbol show right away.

@zer09 Hmm this is very strange indeed. Did you install the latest stable release? Or did you compile from master?

It might have something to do with the new format strings 🤷‍♂️

I installed it from AUR https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/starship/ and looking into pkgbuild It's look like from stable release pkgver='0.44.0'

This might be the same issue as #972 where there is a background job that is running when starship draws the prompt but it has completed by the time you check the jobs.

@andytom Thanks! yeah it is, and I follow this #972 (comment), and it seems to fix the issue.
