When you go to /notifications, you don't have a way to filter by type so replies can get missed:

Add a filter like we have for the recent feed:

Zooming out a bit, in the long run all item pages (hot/recent/top/profiles) will have a button like this which will host all the item filters for a page in a modal. This also makes sense for notifications Implementer's choice whether they do this or not here.
