👋 Howdy! My name is Xavier Salazar (he/him), and I love emoji. I currently work full-time at @slackhq and work remotely from Portland, OR 🌲 I spend more time than my manager knows delving into custom Slack emoji requests, creating and perfecting the silliest little ideas for other coworkers.
Over the years, I've created a handful of websites, some featured below, for others to enjoy. Some silly, some utility, some wonderful, but all were made to be basic, open-source, ad- and cookie-free websites for all to enjoy and share.
I've been able to largely cover the small costs of maintaining these projects, but I'm hoping a generous sponsorship will offset these costs and make it easier for me to keep creating. Specifically, sponsorship costs will go toward:
- Domain registration costs
- The custom domains are $12/ea./year through Google Domains
- Infrastructure costs
- The infrastructure behind most of my projects is hosted in AWS and costs $1-50/month depending on usage
- API costs for 3rd party integrations
- Some of the APIs I integrate with charge usage-based fees that vary from $0-5/month depending on usage
