We develop Typst, a markup-based typesetting system that is designed to be as powerful as LaTeX while being much easier to learn and use. We started Typst as a hobby project in university and somehow ended up here. Currently, Typst and its web app are in their beta phase while we get feedback from the community and continue improving the language, compiler, and web app. 🪴💻
