Programming has become really bureaucratic and boring, hasn't it?

My goal is to try to make programming fun again. The kind of fun of the 1980's Creative Computing Magazine or the graphics mode in Q-Basic. Remember those days?

Alright, maybe you're too young. Let's say Geocities, DOOM mods and 2600 magazine, what about those?

Actually, I make my coffee at home

Usually this is called "buy me a coffee". How trite, right? Let's figure this out for real:

I just ordered two 350mg whole bean bags (this time from Huckleberry, 2019 us roaster champion) -- that was $41 shipped - about as much as I usually pay. I do a ~24g/400g brew for a 16.6:1 ratio.

This means the 700mg of coffee is 29 cups of coffee which means it costs me $1.41 a cup. So let's call this the "Buy me 3.56 cups of coffee" tier.

Actually I drink a cup a day so this is like 3.5 days worth.
Let's rename this again "Buy me 3.5 days worth of coffee".

You're ROI here is so much better than on the people who buy 2 $5 cups a day!
