I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but as of today 12/27/2023, the app is crashing all the time now. it only stays running for about 20 seconds and then crashes. relaunch, and it crashes again in about 20 seconds. this has gone on for about 20 or 30 times today on two machines, both running Sonoma 14.2.1. not sure what is new.

I'm happy to do anything I can for Sam to test or diagnose this. I don't know if it's related to volume of files attempting to sync. today I moved a couple of large-ish folders into the sync folder and that's when I noticed it crashing on both machines.

anyone else seeing this??? maybe if you have time, try a folder bigger than you usually sync to see if it is size related.

NEW EDIT: checking Activity Monitor, both the gui and the daemon crash at the same time. and confirming, it won't stay running more than about 20 seconds each time.

ANOTHER ADDITION 24 HOURS LATER: still crashing. within seconds of launching. I've checked the logs, there isn't anything in crashlog or system log. I got a dialog box that unfortunately disappeared so I couldn't get a screengrab, but it said "Maestral can't launch, contact the developer." I am attempting to recreate to get the dialog box back again. Meanwhile, that app will not stay running for more than a few seconds.

another update: it's been several days and I've tried everything I can think of. completely deleted the app and all support files, reinstalled new. crash happens immediately. did full shutdown and cold start of system. crash happens immediately.

really hoping Sam can see this and help. I'm willing to do anything to fix this. would love a special build that outputs anything and everything to a file that Sam would need to see what was failing in the app causing the crash. have two machines to monitor progress, could add a third if he thought that would help.

anyone else continuing to have crashing problems? I must say, I suspect Dropbox, but have no way investigating. according to the app, I use approx 8% of my Dropbox space, so I don't think I'm hitting any limitations on that end.

help or suggestions are welcome
