Hanged system for external dropbox location

Describe the bug
1 SSD = windows
1 SSD = ubuntu
1 (4TB) HDD = shared (NTFS) partitioned 2TB NTFS (Dropbox)+ 2TB (Shared user docs)
Installing Maestral on Ubuntu 23.10. Successfully implemented and located to the shared NTFS. No GUI at the start, had to restart to get GUI. Dropbox WAS already there from the windows side. Maestral recreated about half the file as a (conflicted copy) filename. Maestral would then cause a timeout error trying to access the folder in nautilus. Even in terminal it would take a while to "ls -al" browse the HDD. (Maestral seems to be indexing the entirety of the 2TB partitition? not sure)
Worse, restarting now means the entire boot hangs for 10 minutes before loading.... Files that are chosen to be deleted (the "conflicted copy") can only partially be deleted, some are deleted otherwise tell me the file is not there to be deleted yet they are there. Booting into windows now hangs some files indefinetely with an X and cannot sync...

To Reproduce
Install windows dropbox. Move to internal HDD separate from OS
Install maestral in virtual environment (with gui but no gui was created and had to do the option via terminal text). Try to tell it that the dropbox files are already there (I haven't tried deleting the files from the linux side and then running maestral, which I'll try later. Not sure if this will cause issues for the Windows OS)

Expected behaviour
Maestral updates/syncs from Ubuntu, Dropbox syncs the same shared NTFS folder on a separate internal HDD from Windows.

System:

• Maestral version: 1.8.0
• Python version: 3.10.12
• OS: [e.g. Ubuntu] Ubuntu 23.10
• Desktop environment: [e.g. Gnome 3.32]
• PyQt version (for Linux GUI): 5.15.9

Additional context
Not sure why my boot hangs for 10 minutes after installing Maestral. Just a black screen.
