I suggest as VLC: if "Portable" subFolder exit then use it instead of %AppData%. |

It seems RustDesk Portable is actually not portable. Portable means executable and belonging data like configuration stay together and may be copied and run from whatever location. RustDesk Portable keeps it's configuration in %APPDATA%/RustDesk regardless of where it is actually run from. That means you cannot simply copy it and run from wherever. And especially, you cannot have two portable copies, differently configured at the same machine, as both would share the same configuration and interfere each other. Very odd. That means you cannot connect different hosts from the same computer without issues. I filed this as bug report but it was promptly denied and closed with notice that it will not be fixed. It seems as that is intentional. |

I fully agreed !!! I have my own relais that i use for all my personnal machine. But for other user i can't use this relais ( don't want to send my private key ) So the "portable" version would be the solution of my problem, one with private serveur, the other with public. But as pedjas saud, as %APPDATA%/RustDesk is shared, this "portable" version is useless :( |

It seems as this is not even responded that authors do not have intention to fix this. As this is vital for using self hosted RustDesk, application cannot be used for that purpose. |

in the Portable version
the data present in /Rustdesk
should be saved in the Rustdesk install folder...
(even better would be get the path from rustdesk.exe invocation)
Will solve security issues when using from a portable device...
