Home page is as clear as mud

For someone who just has a Tuya device and an Android device, the home page makes references to many things which have no context whatsoever. It isn't even clear what this project even is just by looking at this page. I want to control my device without any internet access, so I assume this can help (given information on other web sites), but even as a (former) developer the information provided here makes as much sense as the Chinese manual.

All I want to do is control my LED strip via bluetooth. Is that too much to ask?

I was able to get through it, yet a moment of enlightment was for me that I need to create a IoT tuya account and not only app account.
I also have a BLE light strip ("RGBpro LED Strip Light" / "copper light string") and I have a hunch that BLE-only devices are not supported. I'm going to create an issue with this question
